Schomberg House Renovation

This 1960s bungalow had for many years been a rental home, and had fallen into disrepair. A whole house renovation started with the removal of everything, except the exterior walls and roof. Flooring, drywall, plumbing, electrical, heating, and interior walls were removed.

The revised layout features an open concept floor plan with a two sided fireplace as a central feature. The kitchen features shaker style cabinets with a distressed finish, and butcher block countertops. Flooring on the main floor is a hand-scrapped hickory with a natural finish. The main floor entry tile and bath tile are slate, as is the master shower tile.

The bathroom features a sliding barn door, and a bathroom vanity that were both built by the homeowner. Lighting throughout the main floor is best described as a "retro industrial" style.
